Customer service is not good.
If possible, I would have preferred to give a negative rating. As a resident of Tonopah, AZ, my family had chosen to pay for garbage removal services from Belmont Waste. For years, we have made calls to the company to request that the driver not speed into our circular driveway and to let them know that the vehicle used to service our residence has been leaking hydraulic fluid in our driveway. We kept using their services despite their inability to fix these issues because at the end of the day they were very minor issues.
Legally, I have no real recourse in this situation but even if I did it would still not bring our family pet back to us. I do, however, feel it is important to let current and/or potential new customers know about this heinous act and the fact that Belmont Waste refused to take responsibility or even offer a verbal apology.
We have cancelled our service with Belmont Waste and will take our own trash to the dump. Despite, increasing our weekly household workload, we would rather take our own trash to the dump instead of willing allowing a dog murderer onto our property.
Last Thursday (09/22/2016), while all family members were out of the house at work, the garbage truck driver ran over and killed our four pound Chihuahua...in our driveway. When confronted, a representative from the company informed us that the driver had found our pet already deceased in the driveway and knocked on the door to let someone know. The problem with that story is that as we live in an unincorporated area of Maricopa county, the only people who access our circular driveway are family members and the garbage man. On the rare occasion we have a stranger enter our property due to a miscalculation with GPS, they leave the premise before reaching our turn-around, circular driveway as there is a "NO TRESPASSING" sign posted. The second problem with that explanation is that there is blood evidence the dog was struck and dragged for about a foot heading in the direction the garbage man enters the property and not in the direction that any of the family members use to leave the property. There are also reversed tire marks visible and a hefty amount of leaked hydraulic fluid from where the driver had to back up to get off my hopefully already deceased dog.
The serviceis good. The only complaint I have is with their billing department. I have asked them repeatedly to take the payment out automatically every month. Their admin tells me that the automatic payment is set up but they never take it out. I dont have time to go into their office and pay the bill and they never seem to answer their phone so I get a letter in the mail saying they are going to stop service. If they just got someone in their office that knew what they were doing things would be great.
